Zeitgeist Films recently debuted the official U.S. trailer for “Zen for Nothing” from Swiss filmmaker Werner Penzel.

The documentary opened in Switzerland and other parts of Europe in 2016, but is just now getting a limited U.S. release.  “Zen for Nothing” will be available in select U.S. theaters in early 2019.

The film follows the journey of Sabine Timoteo who arrives as a Zen novice at Antaiji, a Japanese Zen monastery.

“Zen for Nothing” takes viewers along Timeteo’s one-year experience at the monastery.
