The Freeform channel and ABC News’ Nightline program have teamed on “For Our Lives: Parkland,” a documentary that follows the lives of student survivors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida after the February 14 mass shooting.

The special will feature footage captured by ABC News reporters documenting several students as they turned their unimaginable grief and fear into action during the difficult weeks after the attack that left 17 dead.

Hosted by journalist Elaine Welteroth, former editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue, the program will provide viewers with an intimate look at the student-led meetings with state lawmakers, the resumption of classes at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for the first time since the shooting, the national school walk-outs, culminating with the “March For Our Lives” event in Washington D.C.

The hourlong special will air on April 30 on the Freeform channel.
