The BBC has released a virtual reality docuseries, taking viewers into the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The three-part “Congo VR” series follows BBC Africa correspondent Alastair Leithead into the country to meet different communities, cover militant groups, and admire a rich diversity of wildlife.

The new series is a sequel to “Damming the Nile VR,” which took viewers to Ethiopia, Sudan, and Egypt to explore the water politics surrounding the world’s most famous river.

“Congo VR” is currently available for free on the BBC VR app, the BBC News YouTube channel, and the BBC VR website. It can be viewed in VR on the Oculus Go and Samsung Gear VR.
