Winners for the second annual Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards were announced Thursday by the Broadcast Film Critics Association and Broadcast Television Journalists Association.

“Jane” took home the evening’s top award for best documentary.

There was a tie for best director between Evgeny Afineevsky for “Cries From Syria” and Frederick Wiseman for “Ex Libris: The New York Public Library” while “Kedi” was awarded best first documentary.
